Structural Engineer Job Opportunity

We are looking for a self-motivated team leader with previous design experience on bridges, walls and other structural elements made of steel and concrete. You will have opportunities to lead projects with minimum supervision on a variety of tasks, which include, but are not limited to:

Tasks

• Design for new bridges, walls and other structures; structural study or plan development

• Load rating, rehabilitation or retrofit design of existing bridges and other structures

• Structural modeling and analysis including linear, nonlinear or seismic analysis

• PS&E preparation for bridges, walls or other structural projects

• Engineering analysis report preparations

• Construction shop drawing and constructability review

• Construction cost estimates and writing of project specifications

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering required; MS in Structural Engineering preferred

• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant engineering experience in transportation structures design

• Proficient in using structural programs, such as SAP2000

• Familiar with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD software; MicroStation a plus

• Proactive and efficient communication with clients and colleagues

• Experience with AASHTO Bridge Design Codes and WSDOT BDM
