CAD Drafter Job Opportunity

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized CAD drafter to support our team of dedicated engineers. We expect a self-motivated team player with previous drafting experience on bridges, walls and other structural elements made of steel and concrete. The candidate would be able to work independently with minimum supervision on a variety of tasks, which include, but are not limited to:

Tasks

• Drafting of plan, elevation and section details for bridges, retaining walls, foundations and other structures using AutoCAD and MicroStation software

• Incorporating survey basemaps into structural engineering plans

• Implementing CAD standards of different agencies into daily productions

• Supporting engineer's quantity takeoff and engineering design needs

• Creating 3D structural models using professional CAD tools

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Computer Aided Design

• One (1) or more years of experience in drafting for bridge, retaining wall or foundation designs in accordance with WSDOT, King County or City of Seattle CAD standards

• Familiar with a variety of drafting software including MicroStation, InRoads, AutoCAD, Revits or Sketchup

• Familiar with concrete and steel structural detailing

• Familiar with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD software; MicroStation a plus

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
